Robot AlanTim – a staff member of Moscow Technological Institute will be the guest of Smart Farming World Summit Russia. This is the first robot who takes up official position in the institute and from February 20, 2015 he holds the post of Deputy Chairperson in robotics. AlanTim was developed by engineers from Promobot company, Perm.
AlanTim is able to keep up a meaningful conversation and answer questions. Robot remembers up to 1,000 people, uses 400,000 speech modules in conversations. Robot’s maximum working time is 8 hours without recharging, his speed is 5 km/h. AlanTim keeps and systematizes all received information and sends it then to owners in the form of reports. Through communication with a person and ability to read emotions, the data obtained by AlanTim is more reliable and objective than the data collected during surveys and questionnaires.
On March 21, 2015 an agreement was signed in Skolkovo on cooperation between MTI and Promobot company to supply 50 robots "AlanTims" for carrying out large-scale scientific researches in robots and people interaction 2015 - 2017. Robots are located in places of mass gathering - airports, railway stations, parks, museums, restaurants, universities, shopping and entertainment complexes, cinemas, stadiums, schools, kindergartens, also in polyclinics and hospitals.
